A Single Mom’s Journey of Hope and Transformation

We met Gloria in the fall of 2024, at a time when life felt overwhelming. After the hurricanes, her finances were strained, her job wasn’t covering the bills, and her car was on its last leg. As a single mom raising three girls, she was doing everything she could to hold things together—but she was running out of options.

When Gloria came to Love INC, we weren’t able to provide direct financial assistance—but we could offer something just as powerful: connection, encouragement, and hope. Through our network, she received referrals for housing support and car repair. More importantly, she stepped into relationship—through mentorship, prayer, and classes like Healthy Boundaries.
I’ll never forget visiting her home during our Christmas Assistance project. In a quiet moment, surrounded by volunteers, we prayed over Gloria—speaking life, hope, and God’s promises into her situation. She wept. It was a holy moment—an emotional release after carrying so much for so long.

But that wasn’t the end of her story—it was the turning point.
Over the next year, Gloria stayed connected. She sought prayer, encouragement, and guidance—and began to believe that more was possible. She applied for a new job… and got it. With renewed confidence and stability, she even purchased a new car.
When we returned the following Christmas, Gloria was different. Confident. Hopeful. Radiant. She told our volunteers she wasn’t the same person she had been just a year before.

And then—she did something unexpected. Gloria invited me to speak at a Christian conference her daughters attended. In that moment, she poured back encouragement—reminding me that transformation doesn’t just impact one life, it multiplies.

Gloria’s Love Story is still being written—but today, it’s a story of resilience, growth, and the hope of Christ. Through relationship, community, and faith, she is stepping fully into her God-given potential.
