Children’s Board Grant Strengthens Love INC’s Capacity to Serve Families

 

New computers, laptops, and monitors made possible through the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County Technical Assistance Grant are helping Love INC serve Guests, volunteers, and church partners with greater speed, care, and excellence.

At Love INC, ministry often begins with a simple phone call and a few keystrokes.

A neighbor reaches out for help. A volunteer listens, prays, and gathers information. A church is mobilized. Resources are identified. Relationships begin to form.

While those moments of connection happen person-to-person, they depend on having reliable tools behind the scenes.

This spring, the Help Center team received and installed new technology through a Technical Assistance Grant from the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. The grant provided four desktop computers, four laptops, and three monitors, strengthening the daily work of our ministry team and helping prepare Love INC for continued growth.

Though technology may not be the first thing people picture when they think about ministry, it plays a critical role in helping us serve families with excellence, consistency, and care. Every intake call, volunteer connection, referral, follow-up conversation, and next step relies on systems that allow our team and volunteers to respond efficiently and effectively.

The upgraded equipment replaces aging computers approaching the end of Windows 10 support, helping ensure greater reliability, security, and productivity for the volunteers and staff who serve families every day. Faster, more dependable technology reduces interruptions, improves communication, and allows our team to spend less time troubleshooting and more time focusing on people.

“Our new technology is faster, more reliable, and helps us respond to needs more quickly,” shared one Love INC volunteer. “That means less time waiting on systems and more time focusing on the neighbor in front of us.”

This investment strengthens the infrastructure that makes front-line ministry possible. It enables our team to communicate more clearly, document needs more accurately, and coordinate care across our growing network of churches, volunteers, and community partners.

For our Church Partners, this matters because Love INC’s work is never carried by one organization alone. It is carried through the Body of Christ—churches, volunteers, ministry leaders, donors, and caring neighbors working together to help people move beyond crisis and toward lasting transformation.

As our network continues to grow, stronger systems create a clearer pathway from need to care. The right tools help us steward relationships faithfully, support volunteers more effectively, and connect each Guest to the next best step on their journey. Improved technology also helps position Love INC to serve more families, strengthen volunteer engagement, and expand the impact of our ministry throughout Hillsborough County.

We are deeply grateful to the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County for this meaningful investment. This grant does more than replace aging equipment. It strengthens our ability to respond to increasing community needs, equips volunteers to serve more effectively, and expands our capacity to mobilize churches to transform lives In the Name of Christ.

Technology can help us respond faster and coordinate care more effectively, but transformation still happens through people. It happens when someone answers a call from a struggling neighbor. It happens when a volunteer offers prayer, encouragement, transportation, mentoring, or practical support. It happens when churches work together to share the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Today, more families are reaching out for help than ever before. To meet those needs, we are inviting our Church Partners to help identify volunteers who are ready to serve with compassion, consistency, and care.

Whether someone has gifts in administration, hospitality, prayer, listening, mentoring, transportation, or resource coordination, there is a place for them within the Love INC network.

Together, we can ensure that every neighbor who reaches out is met with hope, dignity, and a pathway forward.
